The United Church in Papua New Guinea (UCPNG) is statutorized by the United Church in Papua New Guinea Incorporation Act 2020. UCPNG has a membership of 600,000 organized into 2,700 local congregations, 260 circuits and 11 regions. Boera Hisiubada Local Church (BHLC) is a local congregation within UCPNG and it is located at Boera village, Hiri-Koiari District, Central Province, Papua New Guinea. BHLC is a local congregation that falls under the East Redscar Circuit (ERC) and the West Central Papua Region (WCPR).
The current BHLC executives are: Rev. David Iava (Pastor), Sina Vagi Iava (Women’s Advisor), Ek. Bill Moi Tau (Chairman), Ret. Dk. Avei Muri (Vice Chairman), Ek. Ganiga Ganiga (Treasurer), and Ek. Beisley Seneka (Secretary). Our church monitor is Ek. Aua Dai.
There are 700 ordained ministers, 11 Bishops and 1,600 pastors and lay pastors within UCPNG. The current ordained Minister serving at the BHLC is Reverend David Iava, and he is well supported by his wife, Sina Vagi Iava. Both are Boera locals, and this posting is their swan song before their scheduled retirement from active service.
